How to Install a Dictionary on Your Kindle

Compatible with all Kindle models supporting personal dictionaries.

1. Download the file

   Download the dictionary file to your computer (it should be named something like dict-XX-YY.mobi.zip).

2. Unzip the file

   Extract the archive to obtain the dict-XX-YY.mobi file.

3. Connect your device

   Plug your Kindle into your computer using a USB cable.

4. Copy the file

   Paste the dict-XX-YY.mobi file into the documents/dictionaries folder on your Kindle drive.

5. Safe eject and unplug

   Safely eject the Kindle from your operating system, then unplug the USB cable.

6. Restart the device

   Restart your Kindle to finish applying the new dictionary.
