How to Install a Dictionary on Your BOOX

Compatible with BOOX e-readers supporting StarDict dictionaries. Official documentation is also available on the BOOX help center.

1. Download the file

   Download the dictionary file to your computer (pick the StarDict format, it should be named something like dict-XX-YY.zip).

2. Unzip the file

   Extract the archive to obtain the dictionary folder.

3. Connect your device

   Connect your BOOX device to your computer with a USB cable.

4. Copy the files

   Paste the unzipped folder into the storage/dicts directory on your BOOX.

5. Safe eject and unplug

   Safely eject the device, and unplug the USB cable.

6. Select your dictionary

   Open the built-in dictionary app, tap the options icon at the top right, click Preferred Dictionary, select your dictionary, and confirm with the tick icon.
